Welcome to our world of warmth and friendliness.
The 150 million people of Bangladesh very reasonably cherish the hope of their flag carrier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines emerging from it’s current situation and flying high .
Our proud Airline, flag bearer of the country for four decades is once again tackling problems common to all other airlines in the world. As we struggle to manage these problems everyone at the Airline is mindful of the responsibility we have in serving the people of Bangladesh and the impact upon the minds of the people who care about Biman Bangladesh Airlines and wish it success.
Bridging the gap between the expectations of our many loyal passengers and the current position we find ourselves in – is the first and most important item on my agenda.
Our Airline is on the edge of great opportunities as we sit in the middle of of one of the world’s fastest growing regions.
But first we must tackle the problems besetting the industry and our Airline.
High-priced fuel and economic uncertainly dominate the headlines in 2012, but for the airline industry the underlying issues are far more complex. A threshold is being crossed as global changes, provoked and accelerated by cost and demand forces, finally provoke fundamental change. This is equally applicable in our case. The time for change is here. We must react positively and with great determination if we are to be in a position take advantage of the opportunities that beckon us forward.
We are determined to bring about a phenomenal change in Biman by means of route expansion and traffic growth in 2012. With the introduction of two long-haul Boeing 777-300ERs over the past eight months and delivery of more in the near future we aim to make meaningful change in all areas of our delivery of service and our goal is nothing less than becoming a leading Airline in this vibrant region.
We have the opportunity to have a bright future. It will take a great deal of hard work by the staff of Biman but with that and the goodwill and best wishes of our passengers we believe this can and will be achieved.
We look to you our valued passenger for suggestions and ideas to help make flying on Biman a professional and enjoyable experience and one you will look forward to repeat and recommend to your friends and colleagues.
Bon voyage
